Our Company

A fully owned subsidiary of HENSOLDT Holding, with its headquarters in Germany, HENSOLDT Inc. operates in the U.S. under a Special Security Agreement (SSA) between the U.S. government, HENSOLDT Inc. and its parent company. Through this agreement, the Board of Directors of HENSOLDT Inc. oversees compliance with U.S. Government Security and Export Regulations, allowing the company to perform classified and sensitive U.S. government contracts. In addition, business development for the Canadian market is led from HENSOLDT Inc.

HENSOLDT Inc. products are fielded in the region. The Freedom-class LCS (Littoral Combat Ship) operates HENSOLDT’s USCG TRS-4D AESA (active electronically scanned array) radar, while the National Security Cutter and older versions of the Freedom-class LCS operate HENSOLDT’S TRS-3D radar. Additional examples include HENSOLDT avionics used by U.S. Army and National Guard on various helicopter platforms, and U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps M1 Abrams tanks equipped with HENSOLDT Eyesafe Laser Rangefinders.

HENSOLDT Inc. is a leading supplier for platform independent offerings deployed across the domains air, sea, land and security for armed and security forces worldwide.  

HENSOLDT Inc.’s portfolio includes various sensor technologies, which, when combined, allow detection capabilities to be improved substantially. Our main areas of activity include the protection of borders and critical infrastructures, air defence, mission management and platform self-protection, force protection, signal intelligence and data links, as well as night vision devices, laser rangefinders and optronic targeting equipment. In addition, our portfolio also comprises of mission avionics such as avionics computers, mission planning systems and autopilots.

With our wide product range, we cover all types of applications in air, sea, land and security missions and enable our customers to maintain superiority when it comes to monitoring the electromagnetic spectrum. Our solutions are deployed on various platforms, including helicopters, aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, ships and submarines, armoured vehicles as well as satellites.

Commander of the Naval Air Systems Command in Patuxent River, MD,  Dunaway is a former F/A-18 pilot.  He served as Commander of the Naval Air Warfare Center in CA; NAVAIR Assistant Commander for Test and Evaluation; and Commander Operational Test and Evaluation Force over the course of his career.  Vice Adm. Dunaway holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, a Master of Science in Aviation Systems Management and a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering.

As former Under Secretary of the U.S. Air Force from 2016-2017, Lisa Disbrow has served as Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Financial Management and Comptroller from 2014-2016.  In this role, she was responsible for a budget of more than $130 billion.  Ms. Disbrow retired as a Colonel from the Air Force reserve after 23 years of service.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Affairs, Master of Arts in International Affairs and Master of Science in National Security Strategy.

Prior to her current position as head of Sales and Marketing at Hensoldt GmbH, Sabine Hipp had been responsible for the Electronic Warfare and Avionics unit at Airbus Defense and Space. She joined the Airbus Group in 1985 and has gained extensive experience in the defense and security business. She has held various posts including senior management and executive leadership positions in the areas of Engineering, Programs and Marketing & Sales, with responsibility for international teams.

Vance Serchuk is the executive director of the KKR Global Institute, responsible for geopolitical analysis with particular focus on defense, security, and emerging markets. Mr. Serchuk is also a member of KKR’s Industrials industry team, where he covers defense and industrial technology. Mr. Serchuk has been involved in KKR's investments in United Group (SBB/Telemach), Hensoldt, and Afriflora. Prior to joining KKR, Mr. Serchuk served as the senior national security advisor to Senator Joseph Lieberman (I-Connecticut).

As Vice President of Business Development at Hensoldt Inc., Charles “Chuck” Shaw has over 36 years of experience as a retired Military Officer in addition to executive leadership roles in various organizations throughout industry.  Prior to Hensoldt Inc., Chuck served as Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Initiatives at Manufacturing Techniques Inc. (MTEQ) and Executive Director, Defense Strategic and Business Development at SRI International.  His comprehensive understanding of the current defense market helps transform business opportunities into successful wins.

As CFO of Hensoldt Inc., Dale has a demonstrated ability for success by incorporating people, process, technology, communications, and leadership that drives business results and meets operational and financial goals. Having served as a Financial and Operational executive in previous roles, Dale has a rich background and comprehensive understanding of Government contracting. Dale has worked with large Fortune 50 companies, companies with revenues less than $50M, privately-held companies, and publicly traded companies.

Mr. Villa is the Chief Administrative Officer, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary, and Chief Compliance Officer of Hensoldt Inc.  Prior to joining Hensold Inc., he served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary, and Chief Compliance Officer of Versar, Inc., Vice President and General Counsel of Colonial Parking, Inc. and Vice President and Chief Counsel at AOL. A former commissioned officer in the U.S. Army Reserve, Villa commanded a combat support MP company in support of Operations Desert Shield, Desert Storm, and Task Force Freedom.

As President, Defense and Aerospace Council (DAEC) at U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Webster has a 31 year government career dominated by international policy formation and implementation, working within the Department of Defense and the Defense Security Cooperation Agency. In his current role, Webster is responsible for guiding the development of the DAEC to strengthen U.S. defense and aerospace exports He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business/Finance and a Master of Arts in International Relations.

Prior to his current position as General Counsel, Solms Wittig was the Chief Legal Officer and Chief Compliance Officer at Linde AG in Munich, following several management positions at WTS Group AG in Munich and in Siemens AG's Industry Sector in Erlangen. Wittig was active in various functions at Siemens AG, Deutsche Bank AG and Lovells Boesebeck Droste. From 2010 to 2014, Wittig was a member of the Supervisory Board of Commerzbank AG, manroland AG and WTS Group AG.

Robert O. Work served as the 32nd United States Deputy Secretary of Defense uder both the Obama and Trump administration from 2014-2017.  Prior to that, he was the U.S. Under Secretary of the Navy from 2009-2013.  Mr. Work served 27 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, retiring as Colonel.  He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology, a Master of Science in Systems Management, a Master of Science in Space System Operations, and a Master in International Policy.

The HENSOLDT brand draws its German lineage from Moritz Carl HENSOLDT (1821-1903), a German pioneer of optics and precision mechanics, who developed benchmark technology solutions and products in his field.
